If you have been looking for reliable IT support in Hobbs, New Mexico, you found it. Nexus IT Services is a locally owned and operated technology company serving residents and businesses throughout the Permian Basin. We handle everything from laptop repairs and virus removal for homeowners to managed IT, cybersecurity, and infrastructure support for local businesses.

This is our new website. We are pretty excited about it.

Why a New Website

The old site worked, but it did not do a good job of representing what we actually do or who we are. It was built quickly, it was slow, and it did not have the resources we wanted to offer. We wanted something that felt like us: clean, direct, and useful.

More importantly, we wanted to build something that could grow with the business. Not just a brochure, but a real platform with IT resources, how-to guides, cybersecurity alerts, and eventually a full client portal for managing service requests and invoices.

What We Built and How

The new site is custom-built. We did not use a bloated CMS or a drag-and-drop website builder. Every page was written from scratch with performance and security in mind. The stack is straightforward: a Linux server running a modern PHP backend, a MariaDB database, and Nginx as the web server. No unnecessary JavaScript frameworks, no third-party page builders, no plugin soup.

The result is a site that loads fast, stays secure, and does exactly what we need it to do.

Beyond the service pages, the resources section has content that is actually useful:

• This blog, where we will post IT tips, security news, and local technology updates
• Cybersecurity Alerts that pull directly from the CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog so you can stay current on active threats
• Tech Tips and How-To Guides for common tasks like backing up your files, setting up two-factor authentication, and speeding up a slow computer
• Security Checklists you can download and print for your home or small business
• An FAQ with straight answers to the questions we hear most often
• An IT Glossary with plain-language definitions for tech terms that get thrown around too much

Who We Are

Nexus IT Services is owned and operated by Ricky Ford, right here in Hobbs. We are not a national franchise or a faceless IT ticketing system. When you call us, you get a real person who knows the area, knows the clients, and actually shows up.
