Console Repair

Gaming Systems Need Love Too

Game consoles fail for many of the same reasons computers do. Heat, physical damage, worn components, and software issues all take their toll over time. We diagnose and repair PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch consoles using quality parts. Before any repair work begins, we assess the console, tell you what we found, and give you an honest answer about whether it is worth fixing.

What We Fix

HDMI Port Repair A bent, loose, or damaged HDMI port is one of the most common console repairs. No display, flickering, or a port that wobbles when you plug in a cable are all signs it needs attention before the damage spreads to the board.
Disc Drive Issues Consoles that will not accept discs, eject them immediately, fail to read them, or make grinding noises. We diagnose whether the issue is mechanical or electronic and repair or replace the drive accordingly.
Overheating Consoles that shut off during use, run excessively loud, or feel extremely hot are overheating. We clean out dust, replace dried thermal paste, and restore proper airflow to protect the components inside.
Power and Startup Issues Consoles that will not turn on, shut off immediately after powering up, or have no power lights at all. We trace the problem through the power supply, fuse circuits, and board to find and fix the cause.
Software and Firmware Issues Consoles stuck in a boot loop, error screens you cannot get past, or system software that is corrupted. We work through software-level issues including database rebuilds, factory resets, and firmware recovery.
Physical Damage Broken USB ports, damaged cases, cracked screens on handheld consoles, and physical wear that has affected function. We assess structural damage and repair what is possible with available replacement parts.

How It Works

Step 1: Bring It In

Drop the console off at our shop in Hobbs. Bring any accessories that are relevant to the problem, such as controllers, power cables, or the HDMI cable you have been using. The more information you give us about what is happening, the faster we can diagnose it.

Step 2: Diagnosis

We open the console and run a full diagnostic to identify exactly what is wrong. We contact you with our findings and give you a clear quote before any repair work begins. If what we find makes the repair not worth pursuing, we will be upfront about that.

Step 3: Repair

Once you approve the repair, we source the necessary parts and get to work. We use quality replacement components and take care not to cause additional damage to the board or housing during the process. Turnaround depends on parts availability and the complexity of the repair.

Step 4: Testing and Pickup

We test the console thoroughly before calling you for pickup. We make sure the original issue is resolved and that nothing else was disturbed during the repair. When you pick it up, we walk you through what was done and answer any questions you have.
