Remote Support

Help Without Leaving Your Home

Many computer problems do not require a drop-off. Software issues, configuration errors, slow performance, viruses, and dozens of other common problems can be diagnosed and resolved remotely while you watch. We connect to your machine through a secure, encrypted session with your permission. You see everything we do. The session ends the moment we are done and cannot be reconnected without you initiating it again.

What Remote Support Covers

Software Troubleshooting Programs that crash, freeze, throw errors, or simply will not open. We diagnose the issue live and resolve it without you needing to describe error messages over the phone.
Virus and Malware Removal Many infections can be removed remotely without bringing your machine in. We run a full scan, remove what we find, and verify the system is clean before ending the session.
Performance Tuning Slow startups, sluggish browsing, and an unresponsive desktop are often fixable remotely. We clean out startup programs, clear junk, and optimize settings without touching your hardware.
Printer and Peripheral Setup New printer that will not install, a scanner that stopped working, or a device your computer does not recognize. We handle driver installation and configuration remotely in most cases.
Account and Password Issues Locked out of your computer, a local account issue, or a forgotten password causing problems at login. We walk through the recovery process with you and get you back in.
Software Installation and Updates New software that needs to be installed correctly, updates that keep failing, or applications stuck in a broken state. We handle it remotely and make sure everything is working before we disconnect.

What Remote Support Cannot Fix

Remote support is effective for software and configuration issues, but it cannot address problems that require physical access. If your situation falls into any of the categories below, we will let you know and get your machine scheduled for an in-shop repair.

  • Hardware failures such as bad drives, failed RAM, or dead components
  • Physical damage to screens, ports, or keyboards
  • Overheating caused by dust buildup or thermal paste degradation
  • Power supply failures or battery replacements
  • Machines that will not power on at all

How It Works

Step 1: Contact Us

Call or reach out and describe what is happening. We will let you know right away whether the issue is a good candidate for remote support or whether it needs to come into the shop. If remote support fits, we will schedule a session at a time that works for you.

Step 2: Connect

At the scheduled time, we send you a link that downloads a small, temporary connection tool. You run it, share the session code with us, and we connect. You remain in control the entire time and can end the session at any moment. Nothing is installed permanently on your machine.

Step 3: We Fix It

You watch as we work through the problem in real time. We explain what we are doing as we go so you understand what happened and how it was fixed. If we find something unexpected during the session, we stop and talk you through it before proceeding.

Step 4: Confirm and Disconnect

We confirm the issue is resolved before ending the session. Once we disconnect, the connection tool is no longer active and cannot be used to reconnect without you starting a new session. We follow up to make sure everything is still working correctly.
