Virus Removal

Clean & Verifiable

A malware infection does not always announce itself. Sometimes it is obvious: your machine is crawling, pop-ups are everywhere, or your files are suddenly encrypted. Other times it is quietly running in the background, stealing credentials, logging keystrokes, or using your computer as part of a botnet. Either way, the wrong response makes it worse. We isolate the infection, remove it completely, verify the system is clean, and take steps to make sure it does not happen again.

What We Remove

Viruses Self-replicating programs that attach to legitimate files and spread through your system. We track down every instance and remove it cleanly without collateral damage to your data.
Ransomware Ransomware encrypts your files and demands payment for the key. We contain the infection, assess what was affected, remove the malware, and advise on the best path forward for your data.
Spyware and Adware Software that monitors your activity, harvests personal information, or floods your screen with ads. Often installed silently alongside legitimate software. We find it and remove it entirely.
Trojans and Backdoors Programs disguised as legitimate software that give attackers remote access to your machine. We identify unauthorized access points, remove them, and close the gaps that let them in.
Rootkits Deeply embedded malware designed to hide itself and other infections from standard security tools. We use specialized detection methods to surface and remove rootkits that other tools miss.
Browser Hijackers and PUPs Unwanted programs that redirect your browser, change your search engine, and install toolbars you never asked for. We clean your browsers and remove the underlying software responsible.

Signs You May Be Infected

Malware does not always make itself obvious. If you notice any of the following, bring your machine in for a diagnostic before the situation gets worse.

  • Your computer has slowed down significantly without explanation
  • Pop-up ads are appearing constantly, even when your browser is closed
  • Your browser is redirecting to sites you did not navigate to
  • New toolbars or extensions appeared that you did not install
  • Your antivirus has been disabled or is unable to update
  • Files are missing, encrypted, or have unfamiliar extensions
  • Programs are launching or closing on their own
  • Your CPU or disk is running at full capacity with nothing open
  • Friends or colleagues are receiving strange messages from your accounts

How It Works

Step 1: Bring It In

Drop your computer off at our shop in Hobbs. If you suspect an active infection, avoid logging into any sensitive accounts from the affected machine until we have had a chance to look at it. That includes banking, email, and anything else that matters. The sooner you bring it in, the better.

Step 2: Isolation and Assessment

We disconnect the machine from any network and run a thorough assessment to identify what is present, how it got in, and what it may have accessed. We will contact you with a full picture of what we found before any work begins.

Step 3: Removal and Cleanup

We remove all identified malware, clean up any damage done to system files, and restore normal operation. In cases where the infection is too deep to clean safely, we can back up your data and perform a clean OS reinstall to guarantee the system is fully clear.

Step 4: Verification and Hardening

Before your machine leaves our hands, we run a final round of scans to confirm it is clean. We also review how the infection got in and make recommendations to close those gaps so it does not happen again. That may include updating software, changing passwords, or putting proper security tools in place.
